I have been serving the westside of Norfolk, Virginia since 2004 with great success.  I have enjoyed getting to know my clients and serving their families, giving them time to relax and connect with who and what makes life valuable.

There are (at least) two aspects of my Personal Chef Business:

 These dinners include Dessert, a Main Entree and 2 sides (a starch and a veggie),  cost  $55 and feed 4.  I design a new menu each week taking into consideration what's seasonal and  rotating through protein choices and have a vegetarian option once every 5 weeks or so.  Each week you will receive a menu through email and on the website in What's To Eat, and if you are interested in ordering that week's  dinner, just reply and let me know by Tuesday.  I try to send my emails on Fridays, but honestly sometimes it doesn't get done until Saturday, so just keep an eye out.  

The other aspect of my business is a more  personal, customized service.  This allows you to have fully prepared meals in your freezer or refrigerator that are customized especially for your family.

This is the way that it would work:

We would set an appointment  to have a client assessment and menu consultation.  We would talk about how my service works, what food likes and dislikes, allergies, and special diets you and your family might have.  At the end of the consultation we would set a cookdate.  A few days before your cookdate, I would email you a menu to choose your entrees and side dishes that you want me to prepare for your family.  On the cookdate I would arrive at your home  with the groceries and my equipment to prepare and store the dishes in your kitchen.  I would need some refrigerator space and of course freezer space to store your fully cooked meals.  You may either be there during the cooking or not, whatever you prefer.   At the end of the cookdate I would cleanup so that the only reminder that I was there, is the wonderful aromas of freshly cooked meals and a full freezer!  You may schedule my service once a week to once a month, depending on your family's lifestyle and dinner needs.

My service includes the consultation, personalized menu preparation, shopping and traveling, food preparation and cooking, labeling the food with heating instructions, storing and cleaning up.  It would take me approximately six - seven hours of cooking and cleaning time.  Simple!  The cost of the service for 5 entrees with  2 sides per entree, which would serve four family members  is $250,  plus the cost of groceries.
